What kinds of methods are used to increase the computational speed of CFD?

1. Style of programming (do not use too much memory for storing data if not needed)
2. Parallelization (OpenMP, MPI etc.)
3. The choice of numerical methods (1st order schemes, 2nd order and higher are more consuming)
4. Iterative or noniterative (direct calculation) methods
