How can i implement this type of approach? Are CAA analysis as reliable as CFD predictions? Can someone answer me? Thanks in advance!

Of what I learned, it is necessary to split up your problem in 2 parts : the aerodynamics part, with your noise source, being solved by a CFD code, and then a wave propagation code to simulate its radiation from the near field to the far field. I hope this helps. What kind of CAA code do you intend to use? Regards, Bertrand

CAA includes a number of methods, from solving some equations for the acoustic field on a background flow up to a full DNS, where the acoustics come about naturally as a part of the NS solution....

so what level of abstraction/modeling are you talking about??

Wiki might indeed give you a good overview of what is out there:

Cheers!
