What is definition of "attached flow"?
I am solving turbulence flow in centrifugal pump.I found "attached flow" in book Johann Friedrich Gülich "Centrifugal Pumps" but there is not
explanation of it. Could you help me? Thanks in advance
Attached flow is the flow which has not separated from the body. For example in an airfoil, at low angles of attack the flow is attached ie the streamlines are such that they "stick" to the body.
But as you increase the AoA, the flow tends to "separate" as the fluid does not have enough momentum to stick to the surface.
This is the general definition. I do not have the book hence cant be specific.
