How to measure angle of flow

Hi,

I have a long vertical pipe in which the flow is almost straight and vertical. Now I want to find out the angle of flow with respect to the Y-axis (just to make sure that the angle wrt Y-axis is less than 15 deg). How can I do that, generally?

I had the problem solved in Fluent. I am not worrying about doing it in Fluent right now. I want atleast the formula. Please help.

Thanks.

tan(flow angle to y axis) = x component of velocity/y component of velocity <= tan(15 degrees)
