CFD FASTRAN Post-Processing

Hi,

I am a new user of CFD FASTRAN and CFD_VIEW. I have simulated a flow over an airfoil and It is converged, but the problem is with post-processing.
How do I get pressure graph (Pressure vs. x) on the upper and lower surfaces of the airfoil surface in CFD-VIEW ? Is there anyway I could get values of the some parameters, like pressure, temperature on the surfaces of the airfoil?

For the straight surface, like flat plate, I can easily plot the temmperature on its surface with the Y-cut option, beacuse the plate is flat and straight, but for the curved surfaces like airfoil surface, how do i get the pressure and temperature plots? Also is there any other software that I could use beside CFD-VIEW where I could import my fastran DTF file?

Thank you in advance.

Well, you should really ask ESI support about this, and it is a while since I've used these codes .... If your grid is structured, it is very easy. Pick the appropriate I, J or K line, and graph along that. If your grid is unstructured, cut the wing surface with an appropriate plane, and do the same thing. CFD-View is an excellent post-processor, and makes it very easy to do this. An alternative is to use the Toolkit, export the DTF data to Ensight format, and use Paraview to extract the data by cutting wita a plane and saving to a .csv file. Very roundabout.

Thank you :). I will try that .:)
