unstructured or Structure Cartesian grid vs tetra and hexa

Hello all

I need to make a mesh in Hypermesh for CFD. since now i use o work with tetra and Hexa elements and also to create layers on the surface or the object.

But now i have to create a Structure or unstructure cartesian mesh. but i do not know what is this ! ! ! ! !

is it a hexa mesh? is it different from our FEA mesh?? why structure or unstructure is better from FEM (tetra or hexa) if they are different.

thanks

That is a question that cannot be answered in a single post.
The general answer is, which mesh type would best represent your geometry and domain

May be you need to look at
Numerical Grid Generation
Foundations and applications
Thompson, Warsi & Mastin

It is freely available for download, google for it or look the book section on this forum

Good Luck
