CFD analysis of Fluid Flow over a Weir in a Tank.

im trying to model fluid flow in an open tank which flows over a weir and i cant seem to introduce gravity. the fluid keeps filling to the top of the tank then exits rather that filling to the required level and overflowing.

i know that it has to do with the ICE command and the initial and boundary VFRC loads, i'm just not sure how to apply them.

any help with this problem would be greatly appriciated!!!

Regards

Ronan

"ICE", "VFEC" commands?

Are these for a particular code? If so,what is it?

they are commands that i saw on the VOF analysis of a DAM example, which carries out a simular overflowing anlysis. im not sure how to explain them as i dont know what they are really. the VFEC is the volume fraction of fluid in the tank.
