why not ANSYS does not accept negative values (i.e. tension) for stress-strain charactersistic of a solid65 element?

i was modeling a column for isotropic (equal hardening), a non-linear analysis, and wanted to see the stress behaviour for various loading property.

plzz, any comment is highly appreciated.
