Dear All
i am doing an unsteady simulation of flow around a cylinder....i am trying to perturb the flow field in order to get vortex shedding as the inlet velocity is very less...can anyone suggest in which region exactly i can perturb the solution? Thanks!!! Rishikesh |

Hi,
I am doing simulations of flow around a cylinder also. A good code usually can get the shedding on its own. It takes sometime for the flow to develop vortex shedding, and what Reynolds Number are you running on? |

Hi
I am doing the simulation for Re=2370...and i think i agree with your observation that vortex shedding does require some time to develop....one more issue is the flow velocity is really less......5.75m/s....this will also be a factor....... |
