Hello salmi10,

mpcci is a commercial software.

CERFACS develops the dynamics coupler of parallel codes PALM since more than 10 years. A recent collaboration with ONERA on massively parallel multiphysics application lead to the product OpenPALM that is composed of PALM and CWIPI.
CWIPI is a library written by ONERA doing almost the same job as MpCCI.
For the moment, OpenPALM is downloadable only with PALM. CWIPI will be soon integrated in the distribution (lets say at september).

What is your objective with a coupler?

Hello Florent
I want to transfer the fluid analysis from AnsysCFX to Abaqus,is it possible to do that using this software?

Florent April 15, 2011 06:27

Well, PALM has been designed to couple codes for which sources are available. Nevertheless, we have recently studied alternative solutions usable when user function are available in the commercial codes (as it is the case in fluent or abaqus and maybe in CFX also). We have tested a coupling between abaqus and avbp (our code for reactive fluid dynamics), but the student in charge of this work had preferred to use MARC for performance reasons. First results will be presented in the AIAA conference :
