CFD for air flow analysis in a room

Hi guys,

I am totally new to CFD. Could anyone recommend a software that is best suited for performing an analysis of air movement in a room that has multiple windows?

I'm studying how the size and location of windows effect the ventilation of a room.

A free software would be best as i am still a student.

Thank you very much.

Most CFD packages would be able to model the airflow within a room. It is down to a number of criteria:

- Free: OpenFOAM
- Dedicated to buildings (but not free): phoenix, airpack, designbuilder;
- general purpose: go with what is available at your uni.

Regards,
Julien
