Turbulence model for transsonic flow
I want to calculate a transsonic flow in a nozzle. Which turbulence model should I choice? Thanks.

Re: Turbulence model for transsonic flow
Hi Wei
Currently the trend is to use the Menter's BSL or SST model. It has a pretty good behaviour vs adverse pressure gradient, and is not sensitive to the far-field values contrary to the original Wilcox k-w. If this model is not available in your code, you can try another model, the point is to take into account some realizability constraints, in practice to adopt a dynamic Cmu and not a constant one. You may find some papers of Thivet for example on that argument. Good luck ! |
