granular temperature

Hi!
I would be grateful if you could help me. Who proposed the concept of "granular temperature"?

Heleen November 13, 2012 04:00

Hi Diegoesteban!

I don't know who proposed it, but I found the paper 'Introduction to granular temperature' from Goldhirsch quite useful.

I hope it helps, even after more than a year...

Kind regards,
Heleen

granular temperature=fluctuation kinetic energy

granular temperature is the parameter in the modeling of fluid-particle flow. It is to indicate the fluctuation of the particle velocity. And it is the fundamental symbol of kinetic theory of granular flow.
If you are really interested, I suggest you to read the book "Multiphase flow and fluidization" by Prof Dimitri Gidaspow1994. Hope I can help.
Best
Richard
