I've seen this software:

which does not require a mesh end uses a lagrangian approach.
What do you thin about it?
What are the advantages/disavantages compared to a typical eulerian CFD solver?
Is there any open source code which uses the same approach?

Hello,
I have some experience with SPH which is Lagrangian particle based CFD method. Particle based methods are generally suitable for physics containing free surface flows, domains with solid bodies inside and complex geometries.
As much as I know there is no open source code for these methods.

Hello,

Yes it is possible, but I think for regular problems such as cavity, FVM based methods are preferable due to higher computational cost of Lagrangian methods.
