Generate a CFD domain from FEA results

Hi all,

I am a research student and I have carried out a finite element analysis to model the deployment of a medical device within a vessel. I now wish to use my results to investigate blood flow within the treated vessel.

Heres a link to an image of a cross-section of the results to give an idea of the geometry involved:

I would like to ask for advice on how to generate a CFD domain of the volume enclosed by my FEA results? Should I try to export my results to a CAD package and generate a solid model of the enclosed volume which I could then mesh. Or would it be possible to generate a mesh directly from my results somehow?

I have access to a number of CAD packages and also to ANSYS Workbench, CFX and ICEM CFD. Apologies for my ignorance, any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Many thanks,
Dave
