Relation between flowpass, timestep, frames?

Hello CFD Members,

I would like to know what the relation is between single timestep lenght, total amount of timesteps over a full simulation, frames and flowpasses.

The reason I'm asking this, is because I often see in graphs those parameters and I don't completely understand why they're being used and what they exactly have in common.

Could anyone give an explanations of this, or a link/file where I can fin d this information.

Thanks!
