Default Simulation of an explosion

I want to simulate the explosion of 100 bars tank in a building. I need to get the pressures on walls to determine if the building collapses or not.

I would like to avoid similating the all 3D building.

Is a 2 dimension simulation will give me the same result than a 3 dimension simulation?
