Hi,
I'm using Workbench 11 and trying to mesh a coil with CFX-Mesh. When I click on Generate Surface Mesh, I receive an error message: Internal Error Unable to locate containing element for node Coordinate: 0.0000E+00, 1.5661E+02, 1.3248E+01 Coordinate: 3.3536E+00, 0.0000E+00 If I make a constant edge length smaller or try to refine spacings, it says: Internal Error MEM_EXTD storage allocation failed I'm not sure what these two messages mean. Can anyone explain to me what these mean and how to resolve this issue? I think my geometry is ok. Thanks, Piti |

as a guess; it sounds like you have a floating node somewhere - maybe one of your lines extended too far and has a node at the end. Is there not a 'heal geometry' option or 'geometry check' that you can run?
The second error sounds like the mesh got too big for the amount of memory required. But, I am just guessing. good luck |
