droplet formation

Hello, How do I model droplet formation? Smoothing in front and sharpening where the flow jets out. Is it a pressure effect (e.g. rising in front of cylinder and dropping behind it) of shear forces? Thanks a lot Dominik

You can see how people did it for example in: Khayat, Luciani, Utraki, Godbille, Picot "Influence of shear and elongation on drop deformation in covergent-divergent flows", I.Jour. Multiphase Flow 26 (2000) 17-44. Good luck! |
