Corners
 

Hi,

This might seem like a basic question but i am relatively new to CFD.

What are the effects of sharp corners?

I know pressure singularities might be one of them.
What would the effect on velocity be?
I am modelling a Couette channel and I am trying to differentiate between the corner and the actual developing flow region, how do I do that?
I am doing this to understand the effect of the corner better for another project. Any help would be appreciated.

Sharp corners almost always produce separated flows.
