Electrostatic air movers have been developed and improved since Hauksbee first noted that a corona discharge causes wind back in 1709.
Inventions have improved that airflow with repelling, attracting, collecting, and other electrodes so that diectional airflows of speeds up to 1700 fpm have been achieved. However, I have seen nothing in the patents or the literature that addresses the use of fluid dynamics to improve intake or exit airflows through the use of nozzle technology. But I have no idea how to begin. Can anyone help me? I am in the 8th grade, and in the past have won blue ribbons at different levels for producing the first homemade aerogels and for studying high tech polymers as pool cue tips. I want to broaden my horizon this year with this research. Thank you. |
