Hello, I want to examine several types of foils in FLUENT but I am having trouble making the geometry for NACA 4 digit modified and NACA 5 digit modified foils. I have made equations for calculating the coordinates of the standard 4 and 5 series foils but the equations for the modified versions are not making sense to me.
http://www.pdas.com/naca456pdas.html This website has the equations, I just cant figure out how to use them. Specifically how to find the coefficients in the 4-digit thickness function. Can anyone here explain them in greater detail or even provide a sample calculation? Thanks, Tom |

Why don't you download the code (NACA456) from pdas? http://www.pdas.com/naca456.html

I actually did not even notice that was there. Thanks. I would still like to know how it is calculated though its really been bothering me.

Alternatively, this site will let you enter the parameters and give you points:
