Density Ratio
hello,
in a high speed compressible flow where there may be shocks forming, what size density ratios might i get? would these density ratios be bigger than i would get in a low speed combustion system? thanks |

Get an aerodynamcis or fluids book from your library, go to the supersonic chapters, and find some of the simple flows that can be solved analytically - with your electronic calculator (or slide rule).
Put some numbers in and calculate the density ratio (also pressure and temperature ratios) across a shock. And you can calculate the shock location. Now you have your answer - and the first test case for your code! |
