Modeling chemical reactions in aqueous solvents
Hello,
I want to model the hydrolysis of silicon tetrachloride. But I don't have experience with reactions in aqueous solvents. Therefore, I have two general questions: 1.) The reaction takes place in the shear layer of a silicon tetrachloride jet. Would it be correct to use an eddy dissipation model to calculate the reaction rate? 2.) One reaction product is hydrogen chloride (HCl) with separates in H+ and Cl- Ions. What's the best way to calculate the reaction system. Where do I get appropriate property data for the components of the solution. Any help would be appreciated. |
