velocity profile in front of a cylinder
 

I have to find out the distance in front of a cylider (turbulent flow) at which the streamwise velocity is nearly same as the free stream velocity. Someone mentioned to me that there are some papers showing the streamwise velocity profile (as a function of streamwise distance x) in front of a cylinder, but I din't really find any such paper. Anyone knows? Thanks in advance.
