Quality check of 3d Mesh in Hypermesh V10???

Hello everybody,

I am using Hypermesh V10 for the CFD meshing and Ansys CFX V13 for Pre, Solver and Postprocessing.

During my CFD meshing process in Hypermesh I can choose one of five different meshing characteristics:
standard
aggresive
gradual
interpolate
user controlled

Now I have three questions:
- which of those is actually the best for the CFD simulation with CFX?
- Is there any possibility in meshing in 3d with a quality criteria?
- I think there is a remesh option (3d --> smooth). Does anybody have a 3d quality criteria file or tell me which values might be acceptable?

Thanks very much in advance

Hi Andres

The mehs is not base on your code but on the shape that you wish to calculate, so if you have a model of an aircraft and wish to see the turbulence at the back of the plane.

I do not think that you can use quality criteria but only to study the element quality after you mesh.

I believe that the mesh has to do with the problem, in HW11 there are more CFD options as refiment box etc..

hope to help you
