Please... Need help with CFD-ACE+

Hi,
Recently I was assigned a job to do some analysis to simulate how gas pass through small pipes. Our company is using CFD-ACE+ (CFD Research Corp), however, we're lack of tutorial and manual. Also, I'm new in this area (only have some basic knowledge of fluid dynamics). I would really appreciate if any one familiar with this software could give me some guidance and advice, or help me to set up a simple model to test. Thank you soooo much... Sincerely, -Sean |

Thanks Tiger,
I already did google a lot, and those example seems too advance for a primer. ;_; Would you kindly give me a hand for a simple example ? I had come up one but it never converge. >< here is the setting. -------- ------- | | | | inlet | |___________| | Outlet | ------------ | | | | | -------- ------- inlet: fixed Pressure (1000 N/m2) outlet: fixed Pressure (100 N/m2) Other BC are no-slip wall VC: Oxygen gas (with default properties) Temp: 300T (also default) IC: 0.1 m/s Is is setting able to simulate how gas pass through the channel ? am I missing something (BC, VC, IC) to make it works ? Sorry to bother you that much. please give me some advice. Thanks alot. ^^ -Sean |

Why don't you ring up CFDRC (or whoever they are now - they have been bought recently) and get a manual and tutorial? Most companies will provide a small amount of informal support for their old software in order to maintain goodwill and encourage updating to a current license.
