What is a secondary flow and how can i visualize it in Tecplot.
I have the values of primary u, v and w. Problem is this that i cannot Run the program again so is there anyway to get the secondary flow streamlines from the primary u, v and w values that i have. Or can by plotting only the primary flow isovelocity contours i can say something about the vortices formation?? The data is of 90 degree bend. Thankss |

Vortex identification is a monster and an entire field of study by itself. Do not focus on trying to define what a vortex is and then trying to come up with criteria to visualize it. Just do your best with what you have, and use your engineering intuition. It is better to have some meaningful discussion than to fiddle with formalisms. Secondary flows and vortices are also not equivalent, so try not to mix them up. |
