Translating mesh for node dropping correction in axisymmetric swirl geometry

I have constructed a 2D-axisymmetric swirl geometry that, when meshed, contains nodes that drop below the X-axis, although the geometry is only defined at positive Y values. (nodes drop less than 17 orders of magnitude below the X-axis).
The FLUENT manual suggests to translate the mesh - however, you will never be able to place the base on exactly the location of the global axis and thus has to be moved to Y-values above 0.
My question is now - just to be sure. Will this offset to the global axis cause problems with the axisymmetric boundary? The fluent manual clearly states, that for axisymmetric swirled geometries, the axis must coincide with the global X-axis. Will my numerical offset cause fluent to not be able to exchange information across the boundary?
