Hello all,

I am trying to model an airfoil oscillating in pitch, however the software that I am using cannot handle the large pitch oscillations by deforming the mesh (or by rotating a mesh within a mesh). As a result, I have attempted to oscillate the inlet velocity boundary condition while maintaining a static mesh. So far the results have been positive, but I would like to make reference to a similar approach by someone else to substantiate my approach. Does anyone know of a simulation documented in a conference/journal paper or thesis that uses this approach? I have been unable to find one.

Thanks,

Dan

Hello Manish,

Thanks for the advice, however I think contracting out my thesis might go over poorly with the university.

Any other ideas? Someone must have used this approach before.

Regards,

Dan

Could you please tell, how we define oscillating boundary conditions to keep the mesh static?
