Reading in and Manipulating STL files
 

Hi,

I am writing a code trying to generate a bunch of nodes based on a 3D model (STL file). What I need to do is to be able to read the stl file and then find whether a given point is within the geometry or not. So, I will be able to generate a region outside the geometry required for my simulation. Can someone please suggest me a code that may be out there or a library that can manipulate STL files? C language preferred.
