Best Mesh generation software
Hi guys .
I want to modeling a axial impeller rotating in the middle of a pipe . im creating its geometry with Catia V5 and i will analyze it in ansys fluent . my question is that what is the best mesh generation software for my problem ? ICEM CFD , Altair HyperMesh or ... ? |
Best one that i know
well I,personally used ICEM CFD and prefer to use that as well for every problem. I also read before that it is the best Meshing software available.
but you should dig a little more to get the best answer.:) |
For an impeller or any turbomachinery configuration in general AutoGrid5 offers structured grids of high quality.

Free Plugin to Mesh with SketchUp and TetGen
Here's a simple, free preprocessor. Its a plugin for Sketchup (http://www.sketchup.com)(also free) to facilitate mesh generation with Tetgen (http://wias-berlin.de/software/tetgen/) . Supports complex geometry, multiple regions, boundaries, and refinement (both boundary and volume based).
Check it out: https://extensions.sketchup.com/en/c...y-tetgen-tools Hope this helps! Regards, Peter |
