hello,I am trying some k-e models in the numeca for a low speed compressor. the maxium axial velocity is 30 m/s .
I used the SA model in the past and the calculated total characteristic line has a good agreement of the test result, but the parameters distribution at the outlet section does not. So I decided to use some k-e models yet I find that it will blow up at a bigger flow rate than SA model using k-e models or SST model of numeca. I set the total temper and pressure as inlet condition and static pressure as the outlet condition, CFL=3, the y plus <8. I do not know the reason of blow up at bigger flow rate using k-e model ,or is there some operation should be done ? Thank you very much for your help! |

Hi;
Try to keep y+ value in 1-5 range and try k-epsilon (extended wall function) turbulence model. You should first try it in the design pressure, than you can try the other presures to plot the eprformance map. |
