Hi!

I'm using OpenFOAM V 1.3.

I attach below a modified cavity case.

If you run sampleSurf with:

interpolatedPlane
{
name interpolatedPlane;

basePoint (0.05 0.05 0.0075);
//normalVector (0 0.0011 0.0075); //y=(0.015/0.1)*0.0075;
normalVector (0 0 1);

triangulate false;
}

It will produce sampleSurfaces/0.5/U_interpolatedPlane.raw that looks correct (contains 21*21=441 value, read the header).

BUT if you modify the sampleSurfDict to:

interpolatedPlane
{
name interpolatedPlane;

basePoint (0.05 0.05 0.0075);
normalVector (0 0.0011 0.0075); //y=(0.015/0.1)*0.0075;
//normalVector (0 0 1);

triangulate false;
}

It will produce values that are > 441 which seems not correct to me. This is because any plane surface can maximally cut a hexagonal cell in 4 edges generating 4 vertices as a result the max no of value should also be 21*21=441. Thanks.

Best regards,
Maka
