OpenFOAM-1.5.General download corrupt

The final file in the downloads for OpenFOAM-1.5.General, UserGuide.pdf does not come through the decompression after download - it looks corrupted. The download appears to have the majority of the file cut off - it's not large enough to contain the pdf, but the rest of the files come through. Has anyone else checked it?

Using WinZip 12.1 on a Vista machine (I know ick).

The downloaded pack is 117334661 bytes (OpenFOAM-1.5.General.gtgz). Unpacked (using tar xzf) this gives

ll */*.pdf

-rw-r----- 1 mattijs messagebus 4816602 2008-07-10 10:46 Guides-usletter/UserGuide.pdf

and the last page in the UserGuide is the letter 'z' of the index.

Unless you jump through some hoops, decompressing OpenFOAM under Windows generally won't work.

Just a few hoops...

Other than a problem with a name conflict (AbC and abc are the same file in windows), and having to tell WinZip that the .gtgz extension means decompress to tar then extract again, I didn't see a problem with the decompression with the LinuxGcc and ThirdParty unpacks. But the OpenFOAM.General.gtgz file I got was only 198KB (not the expected 117MB), WinZip declares it a corrupt file, but comes up with a long list of files anyway, mostly going to the OpenFOAM1.5/bin tree. The a5 UserGuide.pdf in the extract list is broken and will not extract. The usletter UserGuide.pdf and both ProgrammerGuide did not show up. I'm going to try the extract under cygwin to see if that makes a difference. I suspect IE8 of interacting badly with SourceForge or something.

Has anyone been successful in compiling the code under cygwin?

Steve
