rhoReactingFoam
Hello,
Since there is no tutorial for rhoReactingFoam, I tried to develop a tutorial case. However I was not successful. It seems that this solver still uses CHEMKIN style for chemistry input. I tried with foam.inp and foam.dat from another case and it did not work. Is there some way to make this solver work? I would be thankful if a tutorial case could be put in the OF-1.6.x. Thanks, Rachel |
We have uploaded a tutorial for reactingFoam in OpenFOAM-1.6.x:
tutorials/combustion/reactingFoam/ras/counterFlowFlame2D this could also be altered to run with rhoReactingFoam. H |
rhoReactingFoam tutorial,
Dear all,
Would you please confrim following changes, which I made to keep "counterFlowFlame2D" working under "rhoReactingFoam"? (but I am not sure it should be the same for every other case) 1- In chemistryProperties; rhoChemistryModel ODEChemsitryModel<gasThermoPhysics>; 2- In ThermophysicalProperties; thermoType hRhoMixtureThermo<reactingMixture<gasThermoPhysics >>; 3- In fvSolution; pFinal { solver PCG; preconditioner DILU; tolerance 1e-7; reTol 0; } What kind of problems this solver is basically designed to solve? Thank you in advance, Hamed |
Dear all,
I have to simulate the effects of a Boiling Liquid Expanding Vapor Explosion (BLEVE) on a 3D environment. After being released, the gas may burn. The overpressure due to the exploding evaporation (and the fire ball) must be simulated. Is this "rhoReactingFoam" solver appropriate to do such a calculation ? I found no documentation about this solver and I encountered difficulties to make it run on a 3D mesh for a simple case. Any informations about documentations (or tutorial) would be very appreciated. I thank you for your attention, JB |
