I am refactoring interDyMFoam to add in changes that were done to interFoam to create wavefoam, since I need a dynamic mesh. I am changing the solver to be more OO and removing the mid-code embedded #includes. It is in these #includes that it appears that scoping issues maybe arising. I was hoping find a document that may describe the intended algorithm to verify that code is doing what was intended. Does anyone know of such documentation?

Easy way: explain what you suspect to be the problem on OpenCFD Mantis ( http://www.openfoam.com/mantisbt/view_all_bug_page.php ), so that they can directly check and clarify your doubts.

Best,
