I have installed blueCFD in my Windows Vista machine. In the folder OpenFoam 2.1\doc\Doxygen\html, I find the files openfoam-code.qch and openfoam-code.qhc instead of the index.html file mentioned in the OpenFoam user guide. Can somebody tell me how to open these files?

Greetings Rama,

In the Windows "Start Menu" (the big button on the lower left corner of the Desktop), go to:
  • the "Programs" list;
    • then "blueCFD-SingleCore-2.1";
      • then "OpenFOAM";
        • then "Local OpenFOAM 2.1 Code Documentation".
Or from the blueCFD Windows Command Line, run:
Code:
codeHelp
edit: I forgot one very important detail: You must have installed ParaView 3.12 and follow the instructions from here: http://code.google.com/p/bluecfd-sin...Guide#ParaView
  • This is because the files you're seeing inside the "html" folder are made to work with Qt's Assistant, saving you twice the disk space and instead of having 25000 files inside that folder, you only have 2 or 3.
  • But since it needs Qt Assistant, our blueCFD(-SingleCore) installers rely on ParaView's own Qt version and therefore save more disk space.
  • The reason for needing the specific version of ParaView 3.12.0, is because the Qt Assistant version that blueCFD provides is 4.6.3, which is not compatible with the more recent Qt versions that ParaView uses... if my memory doesn't fail me...

Best regards,
Bruno Santos
