Argen is on a distinguished road
When I installed gcc-4.3.4, some errors happened as shown in the bottom. It seems that unzip couldn't be found. Once zip30 is installed, how to set the directory of zip30 before making gcc?

checking for x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu-ar... ar

Assuming you made a manual installation:
Code:
export PATH=$PATH:$HOME/zip30/bin

It works. No errors reported after "make" and "make install". But, when "make check" is executed, errors occur as follows. How to sort it out?

make[1]: Entering directory `/nfs/rachel03/home01/mmy/software/gcc-4.3.4'
make[2]: Entering directory `/nfs/rachel03/home01/mmy/software/gcc-4.3.4/host-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/fixincludes'
autogen -T ../.././fixincludes/check.tpl ../.././fixincludes/inclhack.def
/bin/bash: autogen: command not found
make[2]: *** [check] Error 127
make[2]: Leaving directory `/nfs/rachel03/home01/mmy/software/gcc-4.3.4/host-x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu/fixincludes'
make[1]: *** [check-fixincludes] Error 2
make[1]: Leaving directory `/nfs/rachel03/home01/mmy/software/gcc-4.3.4'
make: *** [do-check] Error 2

Hi Argen,

I never bother with "make check"
Either way, looks like you're missing the application "autogen"... probably installing the package on the system with the same name would work. Example, as root:
Code:
yum install autogen
edit: based on your your other answer on another thread, use this instead:
Code:
sudo apt-get install autogen
Best regards,
Bruno
