ubuntu --> openfoam or CAElinux

hi everyone

I confused which one is preferred
1. first I install ubuntu then install openfoam
2.install CAElinux

I guess the second one is better case in addition openfoam I 'll get other engineering soft-wares but I 'm not sure which one is the best for sure.can anyone tell me what 's the best?!

there is no preference; CAELinux is a customized version of Ubuntu which support free simulation software such as OpenFOAM, Salome and engrid and so on

if you are newbie and you know less about Linux maybe using of CAElinux is preferable, but i think (im not sure) the CAElinux supports rather older version of a software forexample maybe! new version of OpenFOAM is released but it supports last version :), so you maybe can not access the latest version of OpenFOAM, but its not worry :P, you can still again download and use the the latest version
