Greetings Lucas and welcome to the forum!
Fedora is not officially supported in the latest OpenFOAM 2.3.0 release, as exemplified in the main download page: http://www.openfoam.org/download/ - and shown in the release notes: http://www.openfoam.org/version2.3.0/ They've replaced the respective support from Fedora to RHEL 6.x. I don't known if they will ever have support for Fedora once again, but I've already reported that the menu link and page for Fedora is still hanging around: http://www.openfoam.org/mantisbt/view.php?id=1165 I won't have much time in the near future to write instructions on how to build OpenFOAM 2.3.0 on Fedora, but you can use the following instructions as a base reference: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/In...M-2.2.2/Fedora Best regards, Bruno

Hi Bruno and Lucas
Your method Bruno, works fine for the 2.3.x on Fedora 20 - 64 bit. For the paraview, I did almost as recommended for RHEL at http://www.openfoam.org/download/git.php I did ---------------------------------------------- cd $WM_THIRD_PARTY_DIR ./makeParaView4 -qmake $(which qmake-qt4) cd $FOAM_UTILITIES/postProcessing/graphics/PV4Readers wmSET ./Allwclean ./Allwmake ---------------------------------------------- Doing the following "export Paraview_VERSION=3.12.0" and "./makeParaView -qmake $(which qmake-qt4)" didn't go so well... cheers Jon |

Greetings Jon,
Many thanks for sharing your experience! By the way, today I've finally written and tested the installation instructions for OpenFOAM 2.3.0 on Fedora 20: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/In...dora#Fedora_20 Best regards, Bruno
