Hello guys,
I think it is a good idea if one of you experts kindly upload a movie, or walk through for installation of Repository Release. I really have a hard time to install that. I asked some of my friend, they also have the same problem for installation. I install OpenFOAM, but when I want to install Repository Release, I will be stopped with lots of errors. I completely follow what is written in OpenFOAM. I really appreciate if someone can help me. Best, Parisa |

Hi Parisa,
If you have followed only the instructions for installing OpenFOAM from Deb or RPM packages, then it's only natural that you find it very hard to install the repository versions of OpenFOAM. My advice is that you get more familiar first with building from source code, instead of using the Deb or RPM packages. For example, several instructions on how to do it are given here: http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/In...OpenFOAM-2.3.0 Once you're properly familiar with how to deal with building the latest stable release from source code, then it will be a lot easier to build the repository versions. In addition, since you did not state which particular OpenFOAM version you're asking about, I had to assume that you were referring to the latest version. Best regards, Bruno
