Hi Foamers.
Back with a question. I just came to know that openfoam also has an extension available in sourceforgenet. I am interested in installing it. Just starting with a simple and stupid question. 1. Can I have both the extension version as well as the normal openfoam version in the .bashrc? 2. if that is the case I added the source and echo part in the shell script and the original version of OF doesn't run. 3. I want to have the extension version of 3.1 to be precise. I tried to install it from the terminal and it failed (connection timed out), I tried to get the snapshot.tgz. But I get some other .zip file named: openfoam-extend-foam-extend-3.1-1dd681f6e9430f3a49b7b69caf99649b5f23cf86. So, are both the compressed files same or am I searching in the wring place. Thanks, Saideep |

Saideep,
Make sure you do a thorough search of the message board and also google to find your answer. Doing both, I found:
and you can also go to the openfoam wiki for a nice explanation. Good luck and I hope my links are helpful! Dan |
