[foam-extend.org] Foam extend 3.2: cannot find -liberty

I am trying to compile Foam extend 3.2 on the comet cluster but haven't been so successful in doing so.

I keep getting an error 'cannot find -liberty' during the compilation.
I have even pointed the path variable of libiberty in my bashrc but this didn't resolve the issue. Any leads on where I am going wrong are appreciated.

Dear sampy,

have you already solved your problem? I get the same message and additional a second one:

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lfoam
/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -liberty

but i don't know where i could start searching.

Hi Storro,
No, I haven't solved this issue yet. I am still trying to figure out what's going wrong. I get the same second error as well.
I'll let you know if I make any headway in this.

Did you consider a web search for "openfoam and -liberty"??

yes, i considered a web search but only found this threat. But now with your help, i found another Forum, where there are the same two Problems.
