Hi,

i want to install OpenFOAM 1.3 on my Ubuntu 6.10 -Edgy.
The
- foamSystemCheck works fine
- foamInstallationTest has only one Error: icoFoam *** not installed *** CRITICAL ERROR -> I think this can be ignored
- A Package with libelf.so.0 = libelfg0 (0.8.6-3) is installed
- selinux is disable

Has anyone an idea what is wrong ?

Yes: you are missing all binar

Yes: you are missing all binaries. I suspect you did not install the baniry package (or compiled OpenFOAM yourself).

It most certainly cannot be ignored. Check the installation documentation.

Hi to all, sorry for my englis

Hi to all, sorry for my english.

I am using Fedora Core 5. When I start FoamX by xterm I have this error message:

FoamX
Starting NameServer with inet:Laqintese:1234 ...
Starting FoamX Host Browser with inet:Laqintese:1234 ...
FoamXHostBrowser: error while loading shared libraries: /home/gautero/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.4.1/lib/linuxGcc4DPOpt/libFoamX.so: cannot restore segment prot after reloc: Permission denied
runFoamXHB : cleanup
runFoamXHB: Killing name server nsd(pid 2825).
/home/gautero/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.4.1/bin/runFoamXHB: line 66: 2825 killed
nsd -ORBIIOPAddr $myIOP --ior $FOAMX_CONFIG/ns.ref </dev/null

I type as root: /usr/sbin/setenforce 0 and there is no problem, but if I reboot the pc and I start FoamX, the same error message is displayed. Typing againg as root: /usr/sbin/setenforce 0 there is no problem.

Is it necessary typing /usr/sbin/setenforce 0 at every reboot? Is there a solution?

I am a newbie of linux, so can you halp me please?

Thanks to all.
