Hi,
I installed OF 1.4 without admin rights on a redhat enterprise systems which worked fine, except running FoamX: nsd: error while loading shared libraries: libssl.so.0.9.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory OpenSSL is installed and there exists 'libssl.so.0.9.7a', which is hopefully the same!? Is there a way to set any environment to the existing one? Would be nice, if anybody has an idea... Regards! Fabian |

The same issue is present on Fedora. On OpenSUSE 10.2 there're libssl.so.0.9.8 and libssl3.so and FoamX works OK. The first library should be the one used by FoamX.
The lib is in /usr/lib Where does Red Hat places it? Try creating a symbolic link named libssl.so.0.9.7 to libssl.so.0.9.7a in /usr/lib. With kind regards, Alberto

I'm not sure if it works, but try to create a symbolic link to the library in the same directory where FoamX is. It should search for the library also there.

No, that does not work. In addition to that I tried to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH to new link directory, but that does not work neiter...
