Hi All,
I recently dowloaded and installed OpenFoam 1.2 along with Gcc, paraview 2.2.0 and java. I unpacked the files just as the readme file suggested and everything seemed to work and the foamInstallationTest confirmed this. I am now going through the cavity tutorial and I have found that paraview will not work. I get the following: paraFoam $FOAM_RUN/tutorials/icoFoam cavity /home/user/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.2/bin/paraFoam: line 57: 8289 Illegal instruction paraview paraFoam.pvs or if I just try and load paraview by itself I get the same illegal instruction: paraview Illegal instruction My system is an AMD32 bit and I am using Ubuntu linux, could this be causing any issues? I'm not sure. I'm a bit of a linux novice so any advice on what to look for would be appreciated. -Cheers |
I should also add that paravie
I should also add that paraview does begin to start up and a intro screen pops up for a couple of seconds but then it closes and I get the 'Illegal Instruction' output.
has anyone else experienced this? |
try to 'unsetenv' the environm
try to 'unsetenv' the environment variable
PV_INTERFACE_PATH This will prevent paraview from loading the Foam reader module. Now you can use 'foamToVTK' to generate vtk files. 2) as for why the Foam reader does not work I have no idea. |
