Hi,
We are planning to upgrade our CFD-hardware, and I just wanted to make sure that it will be possible to run OpenFOAM on the new hardware.

Can the binaries provided for Linux/Pentium be expected to work on a machine with two Intel Xeon processors running Red Hat Enterprise Linux ES 3?

Regards
David

Probably yes. We're not running Redhat over here so cannot test.

But you can always recompile from sources. As long as you make sure the gcc compiler you are using is the correct one (3.4.3 for OpenFoam1.1)

I'm running (according to dmesg) on twin Intel Xeon 3.06GHz processors under RH8. No problems AFAIK.
