Error Extracting Packed Files
 

I've downloaded both the OpenFOAM-1.6.General.gtgz file, the third party and the relevant 64-bit one's too.

I've run a md5sum on the file from the terminal and the hashes seem correct.

When I right click in the File Browser and select extract here, I get an error " An error occured while extracting files"

I'm running Ubuntu 9.04 - 64.

Any ideas what to do ? I successfully downloaded , unpacked and have run the latest paraview using this technique.

sorted it , you use the tar -xzvf <filename> command
