Have you compiled the ThirdParty files first? There is a folder "ThirdParty" - enter it an run AllMake
Hope it helps |
Dear lindstroem
Quote:
yes I run ./AllMake in ThirdParty and successfully install paraview also some of my solver is worked but the icoFsiFoam not worked |
Quote:
chmod +x AllMake But actually it should already be executable... Sorry, dont know whats wrong. |
Quote:
are you install openFoam 1.6-ext ? if yes please tell me step by step of your install procedure can you run the icoFsiFoam tutorial ? I want install 1.6-ext again what command should be used for clean openfoam 1.6-ext and its solvers |
I have 1.6-ext running but the icoFsiFoam is obviously not part of this package. It needs to be installed afterwards by hand:
http://www.cfd-online.com/Forums/ope...cofsifoam.html So you have to download the sources and build them. There are several guides how to install of1.6-ext online so i dont need to rewrite it again. If you have problems post the error messages then it is easier to help you. |

Dear lindstroem icoFsiFoam is a solver of 1.6-ext and exist in stressAnalysis the path of tutorial of icoFsiFoam is : OpenFOAM-1.6-ext/tutorials/stressAnalysis/icoFsiFoam/ |
If u wanna uninstall it, Firstly you should delete one command line related to settings.sh in .bashrc. You can use "rm -rf" command to delete it completely after that. :p
|
Quote:
I delete this line in .bashrc . $HOME/OpenFOAM/OpenFOAM-1.6-ext/etc/bashrc and then execute " rm -rf " but the openFoam 1.6-ext not removed !!!!!!!!! |
where do u execute rm -rf?
rm : remove r : recursive f :with force! so: cd ~ rm -rf OpenFOAM |
dear nima

Hi,
you can have installed more than one installation coexisting side by side if you have the right .bashrc ;-) alias startOF15dev='unset FOAM_INST_DIR;unset WM_PROJECT_USER_DIR;unset WM_THIRD_PARTY_DIR;source /usr/lib/OpenFOAM-1.5dev/etc/bashrc' alias startOF16ext='unset FOAM_INST_DIR;unset WM_PROJECT_USER_DIR;unset WM_THIRD_PARTY_DIR;source /usr/lib/OpenFOAM-1.6-ext/etc/bashrc' alias startOFwhateveryouwant='...' please write the correct path after source => http://openfoamwiki.net/index.php/Installation on the console you type startOF16ext or startOF15dev or startOFwhateveryouwant to use the specific OFversion you want |

Hi
How did you install your OpenFOAM? from source, binary package or .deb package? if you install it from source or binary package you can go to that directory and remove it with rm -rf but if you install .deb package, you can easily uninstall it from synaptic package manager |

Thanks dear nima for your fast reply
In fact there is not any tutorial folder in this version and I do not know how I can run Allmake and create test case too? Are there any tutorial? |
Greetings to all!
@e.ahmadiyan: It all depends on the Ubuntu version you have got.
Note: I'm currently testing the instructions for Ubuntu 13.04, so it'll take a while until it's verified if the instructions work on 13.04. edit: testing is complete. The instructions should work on Ubuntu 13.04. Best regards, Bruno |
